18 May Mosaic Day School Prepares for Next School Year
Mosaic Day School will be up and running by July 31, 2017, to give teachers plenty of time to prepare their classrooms and make their plans for an exciting first year as an educational and clinical school. Mosaic educates preschoolers with special needs, ages 3 months through kindergarten, and serves children and youth with special needs, ages 2 through 22 years old, in its day treatment program.
The School is led by Pam Lively, M.Ed., BCBA, director of academic services, and Maegan Howell, M.A., BCBA, LMHC, director of clinical services.
Pam also has a professional teaching certificate in elementary education (K-6) and ESE (K-12), has endorsements in autism and ESOL, and is a board certified behavior analyst. She has 10 years of experience teaching in self-contained and inclusion classrooms in both public and private school settings. Pam has a master’s degree in special education and is a board certified behavior analyst (BCBA).
Maegan has experience providing applied behavior analysis (ABA) and mental health services to children, ages 18 months to 25 years old, and their families, specifically focusing on increasing communication and social skills and reducing challenging behavior. Additionally, Maegan has worked in an administrative role for two local private schools for children with special needs.
Mosaic Day School is located in Southside Jacksonville, 6867 Southpoint Drive North. The leadership is excited to start school on Monday, Aug. 14, 2017.
